President’s Message: Commitment – The Key to SuccessBy Ron Lloyd, President "The Harder you work, the harder it is to surrender," Vince Lombardi People don't really know whether they are committed to something until they face adversity. Struggles strengthen a person's resolve, adversity fosters hard work, and, the more you work at something, the less likely you are to give up on it. Committed people don't surrender easily.
Haven't you known highly talented people who have squandered their potential because they wouldn’t do anything? And, don’t you know people less talented than you who are more successful? That is often due, in part, to commitment. We don't need more strength, more ability, or greater opportunity. What we need to do is use what we have. If we will commit ourselves to using the talent we have, then we will find that we have more talent and more to offer our team as a result of our commitment. When it comes right down to it, commitment is always a matter of choice. Most people look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are moments when, because of readiness within us and collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives. Far too many people think that conditions determine choices. More often, choices determine conditions. When you choose commitment, you give yourself a chance for success! Introducing RR Roofing’s Survey ProgramBy Lynda Weed In this world today we are faced with many challenges. It seems that most are being faced with even more challenges than in previous years. Processes remain the same. Repairs still need to be done. Budgets continually get cut. Figuring out how to get the job done in the easiest and most cost effective way possible has always been a piece of the final puzzle.
Our program will keep you informed as to what needs to be done and also what can be done for further preventative maintenance. Preventative maintenance is an essential key to the longevity of your roofs. Simple program, Positive results:

Why Perform a Roofing Survey:
We believe that our Roofing Survey program is a win-win, providing Property Managers as well as RR Roofing the tools needed to perform our jobs effectively. Our synergy together will give us all greater results. Three Things We Must Do to SucceedBy Max Ker 1. PROTECT OUR ATTITUDE We absolutely must do everything we can do to develop, protect, and nurture an enthusiastic attitude. Now more than ever, our attitude will be the biggest determining factor affecting our success this year. Think about all of the negative people we will run into today, this week and this month. Are we going to infect them with our positive, can do attitude, or are we going to get more and more negative with each encounter?? IT'S UP TO US!!! 2. SHARPEN OUR SALES SKILLS Let's face it, there is no room for error in today's economy. Sloppy sales presentations, poorly qualified leads, and just plain lazy and bad habits are going to make us miserable in our job this year. We must learn, practice and use effective sales techniques that will allow us to identify buyers and then deliver effective presentations to close. The top 20% will do well because they already use effective skills and spend time getting better, but the bottom 80% are going to sink like a stone. 3. START LISTENING TO OUR PROSPECTS Now more than ever, it's crucially important that we we learn how to connect with our prospects and show them we really care about what they're going through and what their needs are. 80% of our competition is just going to pitch and pitch and pitch, and this is going to turn off the people they are trying to sell. The top 20% are going to take the time to understand what their prospects and clients are going through and try to find ways to help them, it all begins with listening. People are going to buy from people they like, know and trust, and the best way to build rapport is by asking questions and actually listening to the answers. Employee Spotlight: Bernardo Trejo Lara Getting his start in roofing, Bernardo first began installing tile roofs. This is what led him to become the roofer he is today. He has learned many different roofing types and is particularly fond of asphalt shingle roofing and flat roofing. Growing up in Hidalgo, Mexico, Bernardo enjoyed his time at school and playing soccer. He has fond memories of these times and enjoyed them the most with his four brothers. Still today, a love for soccer remains. As well as enjoying Mexican Soccer, our very own Salt Lake Real is among his favorites. Bernardo has several hobbies which include Mechanic Work, Race Cars, Motorcycles & spending time in the mountains. We have enjoyed Bernardo and all of his hard work over the past few years. He is always a very diligent worker and produces a product we at RR Roofing remain to be proud of. Thank You Bernardo. Spotlight: Tassie Eldridge
Tassie works for Dale Barton and Associates. Having been in the insurance business for a good number of years, Tassie has great knowledge and experience when it comes to insurance policies and just how to read and understand them. She enjoys her work and mostly the people she runs across on a day to day occurrence. Born and raised in Kearns, Utah, Tassie loves the Salt Lake Valley. She is particularly fond of the West Side of the Valley. She has many loves and things she cherishes. Most of all is her Year and half old Australian Shepherd, Roxie Road. Enjoying her yard and spending time outside, Tassie can be found gardening or just simply watching the birds. If you find her reading a good book you will see that she is very fond of the Harry Potter collection and is patiently waiting for the next addition to the series. I asked her about Super Heroes, Sports & Favorite Foods….. She responded with a giggle~
When asked, Colleen said, “She handles our account for our Liability and Auto Insurance. She answers any questions I may have and sends out all the insurance certificates to our customers. She is good to catch my mistakes and goes over everything before sending it out. She knows how to add a bit of sunshine into any situation and I always look forward to calling her just to brighten my day! I couldn't give up the joy I receive from working with Tassie.” We at RR Roofing enjoy and appreciate Tassie and the great work she does for us. She is by far an extended asset to our team. ~Thank You Tassie for all you do! Spotlight: Rick Bangerter
Born in SLC, and raised in Bountiful, Rick has remained close by his hometown. An avid and proud supporter of the Utah Ute’s, Rick is quoted, “I sport the license plates and flags to prove it!. He does have a tendency to cheer for BYU as long as they are not playing the Ute’s! Growing up, Rick had the opportunity to work next to his father, a General Contractor. This gave him the experience to go forward with a career as a General & Roofing Contractor. Over the past 2+ years, Rick has enjoyed his position as a Facility Manager. The great environment and people are what he enjoys the most. It is very fulfilling to maintain a great facility for friends and Church Members. If he could change anything it would most likely be the constant on call status. Rick believes that his father’s perseverance and patience teaching him how to swim helped turn him into the man he is today. It took a few days of constant convincing but it finally paid off. One of Rick’s most memorable times in his life is when he was serving as Mission President in Sao Paulo Brazil. He truly enjoys the people and the culture. Thank You Rick, We genuinely enjoy working with you. |
